Travel requirements

As per Brazilian governmental decree PRT 666/CCV (applicable as of Feb 1st, 2022), the boarding of both Brazilians and foreigners in flights to Brazil will be conditioned to the following three requirements:

  • Proof of Antigen test, carried out up to 24 hours before departure or laboratorial RT-PCR test, carried out up to 72 hours before departure, with negative result for COVID-19 (many airport offer testing for passengers);
  • Completion of the Traveler’s Health Declaration (“Declaração de Saúde do Viajante”). The English, Spanish and Portuguese versions of the form are available online: (https://formulario.anvisa.gov.br);
  • Proof of full vaccination against COVID.

You should also check your own country's travel restrictions regarding both your departure and return.

Since travel restrictions are changing constantly and vary wildly from country to country, participants themselves are responsible to inquire about restrictions on travel to and from Brazil; thus we strongly recommend to make travel arrangements flexible/refundable in case the Corona crisis continues or resurfaces in the future. We are sorry that we are not able to reimburse travel tickets which cannot be used because of force majeure. You may be able to find more recent information on Brazilian travel restrictions in the website of your country's Brazilian embassy or consulate (AR, AU, CO, IT, SR, USA), or at IATATravelCentre.

The following laboratories provide COVID exams:

Please mind the type of exam as well as the processing times to match you country's requirements for re-entry.
